Google SEO: How to get higher natural traffic by modifying content uploading time
According to data released by marketing firm Ignite Visibility, about 50 percent of Internet users in 2021 consider the dates in the filter criteria to be important or very important.
Google provides a detailed tutorial on how to use it.
-First, select a standard date format and choose a time zone.
-Posting dates increases the chances of appearing in Google News and Google Discover.
-Updating content. If some fixed point in time in the content causes a big discount in click-through rate, then a better remedy is to get new content. Readers mostly still like to see what's fresh out of the box. Content updates can be effective in driving natural traffic, but simply refreshing the shelf date of content that has not changed violates Google's requirement that articles must be edited "substantially". Substantive changes involve adding new data, updating citations, and rewriting important sections.
-Rewrite the whole thing. Changing the shelf date and pushing the page to the top of the archive. If the change is minor, such as adding or removing paragraphs or updating selected data, simply add the note "Updated on xxx" at the top of the article.
Use Google's Search Console to filter the URLs that need to be refreshed for the date of the posting.
In the "Performance" tab, click on the date range filter (usually 3 months by default), go to "compare" and select "compare with a specific 3 months from the same period last year ".
Click on "Pages" to identify URLs that are losing natural traffic, especially URLs that have not changed substantially; it is recommended to do this once or twice a year, depending on the amount of new content.
Hi, I am Rogers, the webmaster of Woospy, a blog writer and a normal E-commerce businessman. I have been running Amazon and Shopify stores for more than 3 years. During the period of running my own stores, I've been super aware of the exhaustion and helplessness of doing e-commerce business sometimes. This is the main reason why I created Woospy. There are over 300 tools and software I used or knew collected on this site. I believe these tools, software, and tutorials can provide other sellers with a lot of inspiration and improve their efficiency to some extent.
Bro, hope you can enjoy my collection here! Hang on there and the best time is coming!
